Edinburgh Local Mòd
We are incredibly proud to share that our Early Years took part at the Edinburgh Local Mòd again this year. This was a great opportunity for the children to showcase their Gàidhlig singing abilities as part of a group.
During the lead up to the Mòd, the children regularly practised their chosen song, Cuibhlichean a’ Bhus (The Wheels on the Bus), and had great fun doing so.
As if this wasn’t impressive enough as is, they also learnt actions to go along with their song – siud sibhse, Òganaich!
Although a nerve-wracking experience, the children showed great enthusiasm and performed wonderfully.
They took great pride in posing for the trophy too of course!
It was lovely to have so many parents and families come along to support the children – their encouragement and support was very much appreciated.
It was also a great opportunity to support the wider Gaelic community, and the children loved practicing their Gaelic with others from around Edinburgh.
The local Mòd is a great way to make connections outwith the setting.
Taking part in the local Mòd is always a rewarding experience for all involved, and we are already looking forward to next year!
