Govan: New Manager

Since starting as Manager in April, it’s been a real pleasure getting to know the children and the team. Over the past few months, we’ve been working hard to enhance our environment and practices with valuable input from the children themselves.

Here are some of the changes we’ve introduced:

Improved environment:
We’ve enhanced the room with new sensory resources, which have been very well received by the children.

Encouraging independence:
Children are now more involved at snack time, including opportunities to prepare their own food.

Sensory audit:
We’ve completed a full audit of the sensory environment to ensure it better supports every child’s needs.

Staff development:
All staff have recently completed training in Child Protection and Trauma-Informed Practice.

Listening to children’s voices:
We are placing a stronger emphasis on gathering and recording feedback from the children to shape our daily practice.

Care plan reviews:
We have completed a full review of all care plans to ensure they are up to date and responsive.

To further support your child and help us build a more personalised understanding of their needs, we have recently shared our Seo Mise document with families.

We would love you to complete this together with your child and return it in August. This will greatly assist our team in providing the best possible care and support.
