Òganan Bhaile a’ Ghobhainn – Open Day

BaG Open day 5

On Saturday the 14th of June we held our first open day at Òganan Bhaile a’ Ghobhainn, and although the weather didn’t quite cooperate, the grey skies didn’t dampen the spirits of our wee ones!

The event was open to our current families, those joining us soon, and those considering becoming part of our nursery community.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our families and staff to come together and for those joining us to explore the nursery and meet our staff team, whilst enjoying a hot drink and pastry.

One of the highlights of the day was our Gaelic taster session for parents which was led by Viktor, one of our childcare practitioners. It was a great introduction to conversational Gaelic, and it was great to see the enthusiasm and interest the parents brought to it.

The children enjoyed a variety of fun activities, from crafts to playdough to energetic outdoor play (between the showers!). Face-painting, by our artistically talented staff member, Hannah, was a big hit with everything from dinosaurs to tigers bringing smiles all round.

We were also lucky enough to get a visit from the ice-cream van! Come rain or shine, you can’t go wrong with a sweet treat!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day a success.

It was good to see both familiar and new faces, and we look forward to having more opportunities like this in the future.

“I showed my mummy all around the nursery and showed her how fast I can go on the blue bike. It was a good day. And there were some new toys!”
