Òganan Dhùn Èideann – Open Day
Òganan Dhùn Èideann hosted our first Open Day in June, where we welcomed over 20 families – both new and existing.
It was a great opportunity for families to see the spaces we use across Òganan and to see the children enjoying themselves at our After-School Club, playing and engaging with our brilliant staff team.
A special thankyou goes to three of our C6 girls who popped on an Òganan lanyard and helped with the Open Day.
They helped us by setting-up the play spaces, welcoming families (whilst promoting their Gaelic!), helping to serve food and drinks as well as supporting the younger children in the setting.
They were, rightly, very proud of their contribution to the day.
Our Early Years children also got involved with Chantelle and Ceitidh by baking some delicious banana bread for the event, which went down a treat!
It was a really positive afternoon, with children spending most of the session outside in the sunshine.
One of the highlights was Catriona’s brilliant face painting – we had several Spidermen and unicorns heading home by the end of the day!
We’re so pleased to have had the chance to connect with so many of our families, and we’re already looking forward to hosting more Open Days across the next academic year, so look out for the dates for your diary in the coming months!
